At Aspen Acupuncture Clinic in Cumberland we specialize in non-narcotic practices in healing pain such as headaches, chronic pain, joint pain, and back pain, in doing so, we use tiny, disposable, sterile needles that are placed gently into specific acupuncture points that correspond with your complaints or disease.
Our goal is to apply an ancient modality into a modern world. Acupuncture is not only for pain- It helps with depression, anxiety and stress as well.
I would like to also mention shingles, this is a combination of anxiety that turns to pain, If you have shingles please go to an acupuncturist as soon as you feel a burn or get a blister, do not stay in pain.

Rather than applying pressure to the muscles, cupping works by a vacuum effect and negative pressure on the muscles which can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system.
Cupping relieves back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraine, rheumatism and encourage healing.
It is effective at stretching tight fascia and helps the tissue develop new blood flow and causes
anti-inflammatory chemical reactions in the body.
Herbs were commonly used before western pharmaceuticals were introduced. Treating and preventing medical conditions with herbs is naturally safe, as an overdose would cause irritation or nausea instead of landing in the emergency room.
Aspen Acupuncture Clinic's future goal is to have a Chinese herbal pharmacy with a mixture of raw, granular, and capsule herbs.
While we can order Herbs as needed, we intend to have the pharmacy open when the addition is up and running.
We do have some cold and flu formulas on hand.
