Aspen Acupuncture Clinic

Meet Stacy

With over with over 16 years of experience as a massage therapist, Acupuncture seemed like a natural progression in my career. I have a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and Chinese Pharmacology and am currently enrolled in the Doctorate program at AAAOM in Roseville, MN.

People often ask me “Why would I come in to see you for acupuncture?” and my answer is always “For whatever you have going on with you.” The goal with acupuncture is to get your body in balance, so whether it’s sleep problems, anxiety, shingles, diarrhea, constipation or a sore elbow, knee, or low back pain acupuncture can usually help.

Acute problems may be resolved in a few sessions, while more chronic conditions can take a little longer. Each of our bodies are unique and respond to acupuncture in their own ways. Some respond quickly, and others take a little more time. If you have had an issue for 20 years, it will more than likely not be resolved overnight. I work with each of my clients in creating a plan together based on how your body is responding to treatments.

While acupuncture certainly can help during a flare-up, Chinese medicine is based on prevention. Taking care of the problem before it starts. In ancient times a Doctor only got paid if the patient was well and not if the patient was sick. Keeping your immune system healthy through acupuncture and herbs helps deter dis-ease before it starts.

I understand that you are not living your best life possible unless your mind and body are completely healthy. That's why application of acupuncture and/or Chinese herbs can encourage the intelligent self-healing powers within the body to begin restoring health and balance to your life
